Now THAT is serious data manipulation.

I didn't know metacritic used blogs to add to metascores.

I mean come on. Being subsidiary to MS is proof enough isn't it?

And the worst part about it is the proof of this Variety/MS union is coming off of MS own website.

To think, so many people on this site love to say media doesn't have a biased toward MS.

My mother wants a blu ray player. Guess who's about to bag an early xmas gift :)

But I'm gonna try to get the BDP-S550 version player for her

I told people that the 360 should be better competition for the Wii at that price, but people kept saying I was full of it.

the ps3 has outsold the wii multiple times since launch in Japan. Something the 360 has never done (and yeah, media create proved vgchartz numbers wrong)

The ONLY reason the 360 is alive in Japan right now is because it's cheap. That's the bottom line.

When the ps3 gets close to or becomes the same price as the 360, the console fight will be over.

I say that because the 360 is a FULL $200 less and on a world wide scale is barely selling 25,000 more units a week than the ps3, a system that cost $400.

Common sense tells you that if they are struggling to outsell a system that literally has DOUBLE their price, there is no way in hell they can compete once the prices are close or the same

for example, IF he does have a gaming habit, I can see why he wouldn't tell anyone because then the media will say "he's not fit to lead because he plays games".

However, we already know of his basketball habit.

I guess it's all circumstantial overall. But if we know he was a gamer then they'd come down on him hard because games are already scrutinized as it is

There are TOO many more IMPORTANT things that need to be dealt with immediately.

Besides, aside from him saying "turn off the videogames", last I remember his stance on it was basically let the industry be free and that's what the ESRB is for. He even went out and vocally said the parents need to start taking responsibility if their children get games like GTA 4 and stop looking to the government to raise their kids for them.

So trust me, as far as I can te...

In terms of innovation, yeah they might be helping. The fact that they are making games with peripheral style controls bring about an age of flexibility and option within the gaming world

But in the overall technological sense, they are doing REAL damage. The fact that they are making money going backward in technology will make developers lazy and not care as much. Which can result in less hardcore games in favor of more "easy to make, get money quick" styled games.

if HD DVD had beat Blu Ray, you wouldn't see all these "phyiscal media is about to die" styled articles.

um, digital downloading has been around as long as the DVD. Torrents, p2p, filesharer programs, etc. Yet they didn't do anything to DVD sales. And remember, torrents, p2p, and the others are FREE. What makes people think these pay versions of digital downloads like netflix, hulu, and psn are going to overtake physical disc anytime soon is beyond me

Digital downloads isn't going to be "inevitable" for a long, long time. Right now, digital download only has a .4 market sh...

But in truth, people have been abusing the story submitting for a long time. I remember when that guy, JustinSane (I think that was his name) Submitting his personal blog story and it was failed.

So what he did was replace the story before it got erased with some BS warcraft story, then he REsubmitting his original fanboy article. In fact, here is the link to prove it.

Without mentioning a single word about MS "broken promises"

For example, where is IPTV? You know, that MS PlayTV like service that was meant to be out early 2008?

Or that notion of "we won't abandon the original xbox console". Tell me, can YOU name 10 games that came out for the original xbox AFTER the 360 hit the market?

I'll say more if you wish. But the point is Sony is the only one with "broken promises"

The rest of the developers in Tecmo didn't.

Besides, Itagaki wouldn't know if the ps3 is powerful or not considering he didn't work on the system ever. Ninja Gaiden Sigma was done by another programmer within Tecmo

6318d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

And that makes it even worse because that shows the stranglehold Itagaki had over the company. Tecmo was in the wrong for the way they treated him. But that's another story

6318d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

With Itagaki gone Tecmo will give the ps3 more opportunity.

People may want to call Quantum Theory a wannabe Gears of War, but truth be told, if Itagaki was still at Tecmo, this would have been xbox exclusive.
